On a serious note, I wanted to let everyone know that there was an
attempted kidnapping in my subdivision (Legacy Estates- across from
Arnall and White Oak) this weekend. An older man, bald on top with
white
hair on the sides, driving a white pickup with a camper or cover on
the
back- stopped two little girls (4 years old) in their driveway and
asked
them if this was the Smith residence. The girls said no and continued
up
their driveway when the man jumped out of his car and attempted to
grab
them- they ran and he chased both girls into the garage. One of the
girl's mothers was looking out the window across the street, saw what
was happening and ran out of the house screaming at the man- he jumped
in his truck and drove away before anyone could get the plate number.
Several people in the neighborhood had reported seeing him driving
through the subdivision throughout the day, but no one though too much
about it as there were several garage sales going on. Anyway, just a
horrible reminder to always have your kids in sight. Might be a good
time to remind them about stranger danger- just wanted to let everyone
know.
